Pleats Anyone?

Pleats, Pleats, Pleats...With various lenghts, colors, and even prints....there are such great pleat options out right now!  What is nice about them is you can walk in them and they move beautifully. You have to be careful when you wear them, because they add volume. The key to the right pleated dress/skirt is in the fabric. Softer fabrics don't create as much bulk and it will drape nicely on your body.  Also, when wearing pleats you can control the volume by choosing a body-conscious top something with a little bit of cling to it. Not convinced yet? you can always start with something small like a pleated scarf and work your way up to a skirt/dress. Here are a few picks on how I wore my colorblock pleated dress.

Enjoy!

  4. Q: I have a kelly green pleated skirt (sits right above the knee) which came with a skinny neon-yellow belt, however I'm having a few decision-lag on how to rock it for the summer.
any suggestion on how to make it look effortless but still making a statement???

  5. Because the skirt is green and the belt is yellow I would do a simple white tank(it won't look like your trying to hard). But I would definetely get a fun bright clutch and an AMAZING strappy sandal. Or you can always do bold accessories n make that your primary focus. But, i would definetely just got with a simple with tank. Hope this helps! Thank you so much for stopping by!
